Saglek Fjord is one of Labrador’s most impressive fjords. Saglek is renowned for its towering 900-meter cliffs and its impressive 21-kilometer width at its mouth, contrasting with its narrower interior. It is a spectacular example of a fjord carved by glaciers.
A hike in the southern part of the fjord (outside Torngat Mountains National Park) is an exceptional wilderness experience with arctic landscapes, towering cliffs, Pingorsok Waterfall, and abundant wildlife (caribou, peregrine falcons, ptarmigans, etc.).
