Polar bear

On the Quebec-Labrador peninsula, polar bears have developed a unique behavior in the world; they congregate in rivers to catch arctic char that swim upstream to spawn.

During the fall run the probability of observing fishing polar bears is excellent. Throughout the summer bears can be seen hanging out near rivers and along the coastline and these are precisely the places we are targeting on this trip.

During this excursion to the northern end of the Golden Peninsula, your guide will also take you to the natural habitat of caribou, wolves and foxes. At the end of the continent, you can see colonies of seals, walruses and a high density of seabirds such as Barrow’s Goldeneye, Razorbill and Kittiwake. This is a fabulous site for photographers!
