Iceberg Alley

One of the best places in the world to see icebergs is in the Iceberg Alley in Labrador. It is at the beginning of summer that thousands of icebergs slowly drift through the waters of the Labrador Sea. The Iceberg Alley is then transformed into an icy polar sea with astonishing appearances.

To admire the icebergs in their most complete beauty, we fly over them at low altitude and we stop at the edge of the sea. Keep an attentive eye, because it happens sometimes to see polar bears, walruses and seals traveling on the icebergs. You can sit and relax at the edge of the shore to contemplate the spectacle of the icebergs. It sometimes happens to see icebergs overturning and even collapsing near the shore.

Take advantage of this exceptional moment to pick and taste iceberg ice or bring some back for your aperitif at the end of the day. This day of iceberg hunting is commonly synonymous with unpredictable encounters with Labrador wildlife – polar bears, seals, walruses, humpback whales and birds.  On land or in the air, the spectacle of icebergs is an experience that always delights photographers and nature lovers.
