The Golden Peninsula in Arctic Quebec and Labrador is full of hidden treasures, and Pingorsok Waterfall is one of the most unusual. Imagine a waterfall with no apparent river, and suddenly there's a waterfall!

This is Pingorsok, the waterfall with no apparent river on the earth's surface. It's one of the strangest waterfalls in the world. Pingorsok Waterfall is fed solely by underground springs that squirts up through the bedrock covered in green moss.

[Imagine a waterfall with no apparent river, and suddenly there's a waterfall!]

Although its "unnatural" source is perfectly natural, it's a must-see feature that captures the imagination.

Located in the Saglek Fjord region of northern Labrador, Pingorsok is easily accessible. This is a beautiful spot for an off-the-beaten-track walk that's well worth the detour. Along the canyon, you'll find other incredible waterfalls to admire and photograph, as well as geological formations that will literally leave you speechless.

From Wedge Hills Lodge, it's easy to reach Pingorsok by floatplane. The flight takes an hour and can be combined with other incredible attractions.
