This package was designed for sporty adventurers who want to explore Northern Labrador in small groups far from mass tourism.

With this package, you'll take a 6-day guided tour by fat bike, packraft, floatplane, and on foot through the magnificent landscapes and unspoiled wilderness of the Arctic Cordillera.

Accompanied by an experienced naturalist guide from Golden Peninsula Tours, you will discover the varied landscapes of the Torngat Mountains. You will explore the Hebron River and Hebron Fjord Lake by packraft to see its waterfalls and cliffs, and explore the wildlife of the Moraine Desert Valley by fat bike.

In the evening, you will stay in our comfortable Arctic Safari Eco-Lodge with geodesic dome accommodations in an all-inclusive package.

Expect 6 days full of sporting adventure and discovery of amazing nature and wildlife in this great land.

To guarantee the best experience, the excursions are made in small groups of a maximum of 8 people, always with a private guide and their team who will help you discover the most magnificent places and live out the most beautiful experiences.

Montréal, Kuujjuaq and Arctic Safari Eco-Lodge

Depart from Montréal International Airport in the morning on Canadian North Airlines and arrive in the village of Kuujjuaq where you will transfer to a Twin
Otter aircraft to travel to the Arctic Safari Eco-Lodge.

Upon arrival you will be welcomed by the staff and meet with your travel guide.

Welcome cocktail and presentation of the program for the coming days.

Dinner and overnight at the Eco-lodge.

At the end of the day, head to the socializing dome and have a nice nightcap while star-gazing, or use the onsite telescope to get a close-up view. There is no better therapy against the effects of jet lag!

Before going to bed, don’t forget to look up to the sky for a chance to catch your first glimpse of the Northern Lights.

Our routes are plotted to fly over the most spectacular scenic areas and your pilot will be pleased to maneuver the aircraft in order for you to take pictures, or to make an additional loop over a remarkable point. All you need to do is ask, since for the entire trip, the aircraft and pilot are exclusively dedicated to you. Our experienced pilots have extensive knowledge of the Quebec-Labrador Peninsula. If during your trip we must cancel outings by floatplane due to adverse weather conditions, the unused fuel of the aircraft will be refunded. The Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon and observations cannot be guaranteed.

Important information :

Water from springs, streams, lakes and rivers is perfectly healthy to drink everywhere in Quebec-Labrador. There is no reason to buy bottled water or purify it.

Weather :

In Arctic Quebec and Labrador, the weather is the most important aspect that you will need to deal with every day. A popular saying from the Far North is: “There is no bad weather, only bad clothes, and moreover, if you don’t like the weather, wait five minutes!”. It is important to understand that in the Far North of Quebec and Labrador the weather can change quickly.

Tips on what to wear :

To fully enjoy your trip to the Quebec-Labrador Peninsula, you must be comfortable traveling in any weather. Walk in the wind, rain and sun and embrace the elements with a sense of adventure! We always recommend that you wear several layers of clothing that can be removed if you become too warm.

The Quebec-Labrador Peninsula in summer: average summer temperatures range from 7 °C (45 °F) to 16 °C (60 °F). In the Torngat Mountains and on the Labrador Coast, where our multi-day trips take place, the weather is colder and more variable. Average between 4 °C (39 °F) and 14 °C (57 °F). The hottest period is the third week of July to the third week of August. During this hot period, it can be 20 °C to 30 °C (68 °F to 86 °F) at Wedge Hills Lodge on George River, 15 °C to 20 °C (59 °F to 68 °F) in the Torngat Mountains and 2 °C to 12 °C (36 °F to 54 °F) on the Labrador Coast.
